The mad Christmas rush is over! A little time to relax and play with new toys that Santa brought me. Among the toys I received the book "Pretty Little Things" and my very own soldering iron. After getting a few lessons in "How to solder without setting ones self on fire" and a bit of practice I seem to have the basics under control. Haven't even opened the book yet. I plan to dissect it cover to cover while lying in bed tonight and hope to come up with some ideas of things I would like to make. I am mostly interested in making "parts" and charms to incorporate in my figures, but thought I'd like to make a charm bracelet or two for myself and for a few special people. This is something I have wanted to experiment with for years now. Seems ridiculous that it has taken me this long to get around to it.Tuesday, December 26, 2006

Such a busy time
This time of year becomes so darn busy that it is hard to enjoy the holidays. Seems to get busier every year. And just to make things all the more hectic I have joined an Artist Trading Card swap. But this one I just couldn't pass up. It's making a set of cards for the Alphabet. Actually, the first group (of 3 letters) isn't due till mid January, but I like the idea of getting a jump on it. Every 2 weeks 3 letter cards are to be made and mailed to the group hostess, which is really very manageable. I have been waiting for an ABC swap to start up, so I actually am quite excited about this. More ATC's can be seen here -http://www.IngridDijkers.com/ArtistTradingCards.html
