"Creepy Sisters"
I am ridiculously way behind on a Round Robin I joined quite awhile ago. Who would have known at the time that life would have gotten so crazy in the meantime. So, now I am trying desperately to get caught up on it. 
The theme for this particular spread is "Victorian". I have to admit I rather cringed at the thought of it, but soon remembered I have a collection of "Creepy Sisters" images. I rather think this is not quite what the recipient of this contribution had in mind, but this is my take on it and I actually had a lot of fun with it.

I think it's a great spread! The sisters are indeed creepy (a lot of those old images are strange) and I like the repeated circles motif. Good colors too.
ReplyDeleteI sometimes wonder what it was like to live in those days. Was everyone as morbid as the poetry and images would have you believe?

Ingrid! I love the "creepy sisters" concept and layout! I laughed outloud when I saw them. Sometimes all of the people in these old photos look "creepy" to me! I think that it's because they had to stand still for such a long time for the photographer to get the pic that they couldn't sustain a smile. The easiest thing to do under those circumstances was to just stand there and not move! (And...perhaps, show their "true colors"!) Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHow do you get the sisters onto the print? I can't figure out how you did it. Love it though... This is one of your pages where I would like a bit of how to to go with it... I'm in awe of how it looks.
