An Octopus's Garden

These images are from the "Octopus's Garden" Notebook Journal. This journal isn't as colorful as the "Over the Edge" journal. It focuses more on textural elements with Steam Punk related objects and imagery.

As always, I love your artwork. And I love the way you've encorporated the washers into your edge treatment (you know how I am loving those edges of yours!)

Now, I keep hearing/reading about "steampunk"...what exactly is that? (I feel so out of the loop.)

Peace & Love,
~Barb~

Ingrid...I really like the octopus AB..it is definately you...I love the metal feel that it has..I have some old rusted ceiling tile that came out of a 1800's building in Texas (my brother found them and thought I would like them)I am going to use them for a cover for an AB and I was thinking while looking at this book of yours how awesome it would be to have a metal cover...I will try to cut them up to share with you...after the new year...of course...when the new studio is finished and I get back from San Fransico...your work is so beautiful Ingrid...you are an inspiration to all of us.

As always, fabulous work! I don't know what Steam Punk is, but I do like the look. How did you come to know about it or how is it defined?

This is stunning, how do you think of what to write? When I'm faced with a journal I just get stuck on the writing, drawing is easy but putting my thoughts down really stumps me....mind you I'm never stuck for something to say :)
