Hi Ingrid, I love the Zentangle octopus. You make me want to get back into my journals. I used to work in them much more often... but now am working on my blog and etsy shop and working fulltime and a mom too!!!
check out my places if you get a chance http://moosewinks.blogspot.com www.moosewinks.etsy.com
Wow -- you went from not really sure about these to making his AMAZING creation. I'm just in awe of all the things you do and especially how you adapt to new ideas. I'm still trying to get used to making these little icon doodles!
I never knew that by suggesting Zentangles to the SoulJournal group that so many would find the peacefulness in them that I do, much less be as wonderful at them as you are! This is so awesome! Peace & Love, ~Barb~ http://craft-therapy.blogspot.com
Stunning pages - these and the ones below. You have mastered this doodling thing and make it look artful and easy but I'm sure it's not. I want to climb right into these pages.
Doing this kind of doodle art lets the mind flow. It takes you in a zen like way to a spot in your very core that triggers large ideas! I do paint spots on one canvas in this medatative way. It's interesting where it takes your unconscious.
I'm not only in awe of your octopus, I'm in love with the journal itself!!! Are the washers/round objects incorporated onto the journal cover or the page itself?

I love this. I don't know how to doodle, but am determined to learn.
My goal for Jan/Feb is to complete a doodle page of henna/zentangle. But I am so tight.
Maybe a couple of black russians would help to loosen me up ROFLMAO
