Puget Sound

I was transferring some photos off my camera when I realized I didn't share any of these photos. This is the view out of my hotel room while I was at JournalFest in Port Townsend, Washington a few weeks ago. Loved the somewhat eerie fog in the mornings.

What on Earth is that large statue in the background of the second photo??

eer Ingrid? What is that floating in the air in the second picture? I'm sure there is a perfectly normal answer to this mystery.

The photos are gorgeous, but like your other comments, I sure want to know about the large image in the second photo. At first I thought it was something on the hill, but on closer inspection, it looks like it is hanging from that wire running across the photo.

Well ... prior to going to JournalFest my daughter and I watched the movie "Wicker Man". I am referring to the newer version with Nicholas Cage and not the (VERY dated) original made in the 70's. It so happens that it took place on an island in Pugent Sound. My daughter thought it was the most disturbing movie she had ever seen. After JournalFest, while driving from Port Townsend toward the airport, I got hopelessly lost and encountered a few VERY odd individuals. Telling this story to my daughter she was sure "they" were after me. So this photo is actually for her, whether she sees it or not I don't know, but if she does she will surely let out with a very loud and shrill shriek.

What's up with that huge monster man in the background walking over the hill? Looks like right out of an old SiFi movie!
