I really love vintage antique lace (I do, after all have "gallons" of it ... but that's a whole other story altogether), old dolls and imagery of old dolls, I just have a very hard time incorporating it into my work. Below I am showing two photos of a spread I began using some old vintage lace paper and a few copies of old paper dolls. Wonderful stuff really, but this is as far as I could get. Thank you for stopping by my blog and for taking the time to comment!
I appreciate each and every comment I receive. I will always respond and answer questions if there is any way to get back to you. Even if your name is listed, often there is no email address attached. So, if I don't respond to your comment, it doesn't mean I don't care, I just can't find you!

I love your work - I have some of the very same ephemera etc. and cannot come up with a 'what to do' with them. Maybe an over the edge journal...looking at your workshop schedule to see when you get close to me.
ReplyDeleteI think it's cute!! It is a bit overwhelming when we do get out of our comfort zones but that's what makes life interesting too.
ReplyDeleteHugs,

Ingrid -- your work is phenomenal -- all of it!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou've done it again Ingrid, SO cool!!!
ReplyDeleteLove it! And it's great to hear that an artist I like sometimes looks at a page and says, "I have no idea what to do right now." :) Thanks for being an inspiration, and for sharing your process with us.
ReplyDeleteSaw all your journals Ingrid. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Ingrid, art is so personal that it is very difficult when we work with something we are not used to working with. However, you did a fabulous job with these vintage images. I love the colors you chose to go with them too!
ReplyDeleteO Wow, i really like this, i also like cupcakes
ReplyDeleteReally nice, the colors and feel caught the vintage ness of the little dolls. Very sweet. It makes me feel better when someone who is a skilled talented and prolific artist has out of their comfort zone moments.
ReplyDeletethere may be hope for me. :)
