I have been wanting to make a tall journal for quite awhile now and last night I made some time to make it.
This spread was inspired by a documentary I have become obsessed with, "Exit through the Gift Shop". A quirky and wonderful documentary by Banksy, a Graffiti Artist from England.
It's been awhile since I have done a GPP Challenge and have to admit I have missed doing them. When I saw this one I just had to participate, the timing was perfect. Click here to go to the Challenge page.
The above photo shows the cover of the journal as it stands right now. The cover has been constructed of Illustration Board and 1/4" plywood, which eventually will be covered with collage. The pages are made of box board. I like a good sturdy journal to work in. Not including the spiral binding the journal is 7" X 14".

Great looking page showing the Evidence that you are loving the Banksy film (me too!) You always surprise but you are so recognizable too - all great qualities.

SOOOOOOOOO cool!! You amaze me!
Ingrid--so wonderful to see this new, tall shape. And how well you make it work. It's fun to construct a challenge within a challenge. Love the starkness of the black and white with the splash of red!
Oh I love your tall, skinny journal! Awesome colors and texture.
This is a great journal and I love what you did in it so far.
Beatuful journal and pages, love the colors!
Like the shape of this journal....especially like the "exit through the gift shop" lettering! And how cool you like Banksy....a fellow Brit!
Love the tall shape and all of the texture and dimension in your cover. Really enjoy your work!
Loving the tall skinny shape of the journal. I finally got around to seeing the Banksy movie last week – don’t know what has taken me so long as I have all the books about him, and of course living just half an hour from Bristol he’s a bit of a local hero. The film was a lot of fun, I enjoyed watching the lead character’s progression from lovable fool to taking everyone else for a fool :)
Hey, this doc is so fun! I've seen it more than once, but plan to see it again. I love your work-up. I like these colors and how grungy this one looks!
It's been a long time since I played along, too. I have been motivated by seeing works of participants like yourself. Rock on!
A few years ago, Banksy made a secret visit to Melbourne Australia. He has blessed our city walls with some of his AMAZING work, which I am proud to say I have seen LIVE. Haven't seen the film yet.....
Очень необычно!
I do so love these pages....they are the absolute coolest I've seen! Love the texture, the torn papers, the journaling! I keep coming back to your blog, just to see what's new and I'm never disappointed! Love your art!
