Asian doll ATCs

These Artist Trading Cards have a photo of an antique Asian doll that my Mother has. It has to be one of my favorites in her collection. Yesterday I discovered a new product (new to me anyways).... Transfer Foil. I have no instructions or examples so I just started experimenting with it on some ATCs. I am truly smitten with the possibilities of using this material ... there is so much potential and I will be experimenting with it a lot. I am thinking this would be a good technique to add to my "Over the Edge" workshop next month at Small Studio Productions.

  1. I never heard of "transfer foil" - I transfer my pics with gel medium myself (and I have used some "sticky plastic" in the past - don't know how to call it....) It's fun to transfer and I'm curious to see what YOU will do with it!

  2. I too have never heard of Transfer Foil until now. Maybe it's a new product I am not aware of or it's an old one that everyone else has already lost interest in .... hard to say. Non-the-less I am pleased to have discovered it and look forward to coming up with my own interpretation of how it should be used (since I have no instructions what-so-ever). Should prove to be interesting!

  3. Hi, Ingrid, I'm a little late on this but I just want you to know how much I enjoyed your article in Somerset Studio Journaling mag. I do art journaling also. Your colors and just the whole design of your pages is very inspiring. Diane
