Final entry for the Art Garage collaborative - "Terra Incognita"

This is the final book that I work in for the Art Garage Traveling Journal Round Robin. I am done with all Round Robin commit- ments for now (aside from a year long ATC swap commitment). I think this will be the last Round Robin involving entire books that I will participate in. While I love the idea of working on such collaboratives there is far too much work put in to these books to have
them carelessly handled or lost. Several went missing for months at a time. I believe all but one have been recovered. I think I will stick with tip-ins and ATCs in the future. This spread is titled "Terra Incognita" and is influenced by the book "Hippolyte's Island" Written by Barbara Hodgson. I found the quote online a few days ago and for the life of me can't remember where and don't know who to credit it to.

That's exactly the same conclusion I came to when I experienced things similar to yours. Not to mention the expense of sending a whole book, especially in Canada where postal rates are sky high! The only downside is not seeing everyone elses work. I do like doing Deco Round Robins, however, as the books are much smaller and lighter. Do you work with decos?

I have done a few decos in the past. They really do have their advantages. However, I still think there is something magical about getting a new book in the mail every month to work on and getting mine back full of everyone elses work. But out postal rates are going up in a few weeks, so this also helps confirms that it's time to stop with the book Round Robins!

Very sorry to hear about the missing books. Also, that quote is by Carl Sagan. Found it here: http://www.quotedb.com/quotes/3269
